Myrtia Apartments & Villas are located at Divarata village in the north west part of the island of Kefalonia. There are many top sights of the island easily accessible by car from Myrtia and we are happy to suggest a few.

Scenic coastal villages

• Agia Efimia is a picturesque coastal village at a distance of 6.5km from Myrtia. Built around a natural cove, Agia Efimia is a fishing village with a small harbor full of sailing and fishing boats. From the port of Agia Efimia you can hire a boat or book a one day cruise to the shores of Kefalonia and the nearby island of Ithaca.
• Assos is a beautifull small settlement perched on the waters edge, located a short drive away from Myrtia Apartments & Villas. Traditional architecture, colorfoul houses and impressive nature are to be found at this small, pretty village, with the rich history. Part of it's history is evident at the impressive old Venetian Castle. In Assos there a few options for waterfront dining and entertainment.
• Fiskardo, considered by many as the most beautifull settlement of the island, lies at a dinstance of 22km from Myrtia. Situated at the northern tip of Kefalonia the cosmopolitan village of Fiskardo retains its traditional architecture, with strong Venetian influences. Surrounded by verdant hills carpeted with cypress and olive trees, Fiscardo features it’s own port as well as a marina that is densely packed with yachts during the summertime. Many choices for shoping, dining and entertainment are available at the lively Fiskardo village.

Recommended beaches

• Myrtos the most renowned beach in Kefalonia, is just 2 kms away from Myrtia and is easily accessible through a 5 minutes’ drive. An impressive beach with rare beauty and crystal clear turquoise waters. Myrtos beach is a geological masterpiece with a semi-circular shape surrounded by impressive white rocky cliffs with lush vegetation on top of them. The beach is partly organized offering sun beds and there is also a cantina that serves coffee, snacks and refreshing drinks. Paragliding over Myrtos beach is a lifetime experience and although a bit pricey, is definitely recommended, especially for the bold ones!
• Antisamos beach lies approximately 20 kms from Myrtia villas and is accessible through a half hour drive. The coastal route is pleasant and offers beautifull views. Antisamos is arguably one of the most beautifull and popular beaches in Kefalonia. Shinny white pebbles and clear waters full of marine life, surrounded by verdant nature. The beach is organized offering beach bars, sun beds and watersport activities.
• Dafnoudi beach is a small pebbly beach close to Fiscardo village, approximately 20 kms from Myrtia. The beach is accesible through a unique path, about 6oo meters long, with tall trees, offering natural shade throughout the entire route. Dafnoudi is a small bay like a natural pool, away from any kind of human intervention. The scenery is very attractive and relaxing with the greenery literally touching the sea. Be sure to bring your own water and supplies.

Area Sightseeing

• Melissani Cave Lake is one of the most beautiful sites on Kefalonia and is easily accesible by car from Myrtia Villas, as it is only 13 kms away. Melissani is a cave with a deep blue underground lake. The cave features two chambers separated by land in the center. The roof of one of the halls caved in centuries ago letting sunlight filter in. Visit Melissani mid-afternoon when the crystal clear waters reflect the light, filling the cave with a magical, dreamlike glow.
